Directors

Donna Flagg spent over 15 years in business before founding The Krysalis Group, a consulting firm specializing in management, marketing, training and sales and their respective relationships to business results. Her management career began in sales at CHANEL, and before branching out on her own, she spearheaded a new training function within the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs.

After earning a BA from Rutgers University and gaining experience on the front lines of Corporate America, Donna went on to attend New York University’s Graduate School of Education where she obtained a Masters Degree in Organizational Development and Human Resource Management, and a post graduate degree in Business Education. She has also been a visiting instructor and speaker at City University of New York (CUNY) and New York University through Delta Pi Epsilon, a national honorary professional graduate society in business education and training. In addition, she speaks at various conferences including those conducted by The Business Leadership Network and The Conference Board, where she was also on the advisory committee for the Enterprise Learning Strategies Conference.  For her communications expertise, Donna was invited to be a host at the Liz Claiborne Leadership Offsite to discuss branding during their “Progressive Dinner” event.

Donna is the author of Surviving Dreaded Conversations and is a blogger for both Psychology Today and The Huffington Post. She is frequently featured in the press for her workplace expertise in outlets including CNBC, the New York Times, WOR, and XM Satellite Radio.

Donna currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Randy Foye Foundation where she actively participates in its mission to assist children and families in Newark, NJ.

 

Joyce Avalon has been helping companies succeed for the past 25 years with her unique ability not only to see where business growth opportunities lie, but also by implementing strategies that exploit them. While Joyce’s career has entailed working for some of the most notable companies in the fashion and beauty industries such as CHANEL and Victoria Secret Beauty at The Limited, she is most reputed for launching and developing companies such as NARS, Philosophy and Fresh, where she was instrumental in building them into brands which have since claimed top positions in the marketplace and grown into multimillion dollar enterprises.

It is the combination of Joyce’s management and marketing talent that enables her to repeatedly impact businesses and brands in a positive and profitable way. Due to her long history and proven track record of directing companies toward increased sales, stronger infrastructure and clearer branding, she is continually sought after for advice on how to build and manage healthy, productive and successful teams and businesses.

Joyce also serves as an industry source to Wall Street for her expertise in retailing and luxury brands.

 

Patty Lee-Renert brings 8 years of human resource experience to bear on her role at The Krysalis Group.   Before joining the team, Patty worked in training at Goldman Sachs where she designed and developed training materials and communications.   While there, she was also involved in projects such as mentoring, performance review processes and HRIS headcount management.   Prior to that, she was employed by Cushman & Wakefield as a Human Resource Information Specialist and the American Red Cross as a Case Worker.

Patty applies her design talent to the creation of all customized training materials to ensure programs capture multiple learning modalities and create a complete learning experience.

She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Education from Cornell University.
